Porn actress to file charges against Charlie Sheen - CNN.com

Porn actress to file charges against Charlie Sheen - CNN.com: "adult film actress who claimed Charlie Sheen hired her as an escort, then 'put his hands around her neck,' announced plans to sue the actor Monday morning.
Capri Anderson, also known as Christina Walsh, appeared with her attorney on ABC's 'Good Morning America' to speak out about the reportedly violent night during an encounter she had with Sheen at New York's The Plaza Hotel in October.
Anderson, who said she was offered $3,500 to appear at a dinner party with the actor, said Sheen was drinking heavily and 'grew more intense.' She also accused Sheen of 'snorting a white, powdery substance.'
Sheen's attorney, Yale Galanter, went on the offensive and denied allegations against his client hours before Anderson appeared on the morning talk show.
'Ms. Capri never made any allegation to the police of any wrongful conduct on the part of Mr. Sheen the night of the incident, and she had every opportunity to do so,' Galanter said in a written statement. 'She also posted on her website that she was 'fine' and if you wanted to see more of her, for a price, one could enter the website. ... If she pursues legal action, we will defend this vigorously. These allegations against Mr. Sheen are completely false and are an blatant attempt to cash in on his celebrity.'"

Authorities name person of interest in shooting of Utah park ranger - CNN.com

Authorities name person of interest in shooting of Utah park ranger - CNN.com: "Lance Leeroy Arellano, 40, is believed to be armed, dangerous and seeking medical attention, the Grand County Sheriff's Office said.
Law enforcement officials use the term 'person of interest' when they are seeking to question a person who has not been formally accused of a crime.
Authorities say they are seeking Arellano in connection with the Friday night shooting of 34-year-old ranger Brody Young.
Young was in critical but stable condition as of Sunday afternoon, according to a Utah State Parks and Recreation spokeswoman.
Arellano is the registered owner of a silver 1999 Pontiac Grand Am, the sheriff's office said. It was not immediately clear whether the vehicle is the same one authorities said was found near the shooting and is believed to belong to the suspect.
A rifle, backpack and part of a blood-soaked T-shirt believed to belong to a man who shot the ranger were recovered by police, Grand County Sheriff Jim Nyland said Sunday.
The items were recovered about a mile from where investigators found a car near Moab, Utah, believed to belong to the suspect, Nyland told CNN."

Alim Cobon says he has no idea who threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of his Montreal North barber shop

'I'm just happy to still be alive': "Alim Cobon says he has no idea who threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of his Montreal North barber shop early yesterday, but his neighbours worry that a rash of recent firebombings is the work of street gangs looking to consolidate their territory.
Cobon's business was modest, located in the refurbished garage of a four-plex at Charleroi St. and Racette Ave. He was doing well, his customers say. His close-cropped haircuts had earned him a devoted following in the neighbourhood and among the male patrons of the Turkish cafe across the street. He had just bought a house in anticipation of his upcoming wedding and often worked late hours to earn extra money.
But yesterday all that remained of Salon de Coiffure Nathalie, which Cobon purchased two years ago, was the snow shelter covering the driveway. Inside, the grey leather chairs, sinks and equipment were destroyed or badly charred, the floor littered with broken glass.
Cobon was at home asleep when he was awakened at about 3 a.m. by an anonymous male phone caller speaking French, who warned him that his business would be torched if he didn't show up at the salon immediately. Cobon says he jumped out of bed, headed straight there and waited until 5:30 a.m.
'I don't know who they were or what they wanted. When nobody came I went back home,' Cobon told The Gazette. 'Then at 6 o'clock the police phoned to say my business was on fire.
'I'm just happy to still be alive.'"
