7/7 detective who conned Met out of £90k in expenses during investigations jailed | Mail Online: "counter-terrorism officer was jailed today after conning Scotland Yard out of more than £90,000 in a property scam during the July 7 bombings investigation.
Detective Constable Daren Pooley, 41, made a 'quick profit' from his employers when he was sent to work in Leeds after the atrocity in 2005.
He was sentenced to three years in jail for the scam, which involved over-charging the Met for rent on an apartment to the tune of £93,000.
Pooley's wife Nicola, 38, was also found guilty of conspiracy to defraud after a three-week trial but was given a 36 week suspended sentence."
